Bourns established its benchmark for quality, value, and innovation with the introduction of the Trimpot® series in 1952 (the world's first patented trimming potentiometer). The company is currently operated by their son, Gordon Bourns. Bourns operates 15 manufacturing facilities worldwide with approximately 9,000 employees. It develops, manufactures, and supplies electronic components for diverse industries including automotive, industrial, instrumentation, medical electronics, consumer electronics, and portable electronics.
